I took quite a long break from blogging. One outstanding topic stayed the same for me over the period of time: forgiving. I have done a lot of work recently, mostly invisible, inner workouts. Living up to my own concept of life direction I was in a permanent dialogue with my inner director, too. While everywhere around an economic “Voldemort” gained power in our lives and in the media – okay, pssst, its real name is Cris(is) and each time we focus on Cris, it will grow a bit larger – my inner life director and I decided to focus on the book “The Shack” by William P. Young. I warmly recommend it to everybody who is longing for a spiritual attendance in these demanding days and for comfort in her or his issues. This book will most likely match all your needs. Well, it certainly matched mine.
The processes I went through were emotionally intense. They were at some points painful. But over all they were healing and very powerful. You know what I thought? Cris(is) has come in our life to give us some time to think and reflect where we stand today: in a lot of aspects. Okay, it also gives us a lot of opportunities to be scared, to have fears and develop horror sceneries. We decide what focus we have.
I think that work-life-balance is more important than ever. In times of chaos clarity is essential. Where do you stand today? Where do you stand now in this very moment? I learned that a way of feeling more at ease was inside myself. “The Shack” opened inner doors that were ready to be opened now.
Being the director of my own life has one very important aspect for me. That is the script reading part. Reading books of all kinds and “digesting” them really is essential for me. It is my way of life long learning. A friend of mine once said to me: “Sandra, I have known nobody else who gets so much out of reading books like you do. It is as if you get your essence out of the thoughts and experiences of others immediately.” I felt very honoured by that feedback. And yes, this is a quality I really have. Before my friend told me that I had not realised that this was a true gift. From childhood on I loved books. In Berlin I like to go to my favourite book shop and just let a book “find me”. You can either buy the books or sit in a cosy lounge and just read. Have you ever tried to let a book find you? It is great and can turn out to become a real miracle…
When I write I do it with the spirit of a reader. I believe that my readers may find their own essences. Feedbacks affirm this.
Cris(is) may give you free time to go and let a precious book find you. We can embrace Cris(is) for this.
I wish you a happy and good day.
Cordially
Sandra
